Our commitment to fairness and ethical behaviour

We want to set standards, not only through our expertise and performance, but also through the way we act. Transparency, integrity and fairness are key values to which the XAL Group is committed in the conduct of its business. We regard compliance with the legal framework and guidelines as a matter of course. We are therefore fully committed to acting with integrity and in compliance with the law. Values such as reliability, responsibility, mutual trust, respect and social and ecological sustainability form the cornerstones of the XAL Group’s corporate culture, which guide our endeavours to continuously evaluate and improve our actions. We want to constantly grow as an employer and business partner, and to work against any violation of the law and unfair behaviour and for transparency.

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct is a central component of our corporate culture – it is the compilation of our practiced value system. We use it to define how we want to work and interact with each other and with the public. The Code of Conduct serves as a guideline for our employees and also for our business partners around the world. It defines clear standards for ethical conduct and provides guidance in complex decision-making situations. In doing so, it covers all relevant areas, from livable working conditions, transparency and integrity to innovative spirit and environmental protection.

Transparency

We are aware that compliance infringements can have serious consequences and a significant impact on the day-to-day work of the people affected and on general interests in the corporate environment. We therefore want to ensure that our employees and business partners are able to report violations without having to fear negative consequences.

The implementation of a group-wide reporting system, our Trust Line, helps us to make this possible and to process all reports constructively. The content of a report can be any violation of applicable laws and regulations. This includes, for example, corruption offences, competition and antitrust violations, violations of environmental protection and product safety regulations, data protection violations and harassment in the workplace, bullying or discrimination in the corporate environment.

Trust Line

Our Trust Line is available to our employees and all external persons as an online reporting system that allows to submit reports anonymously in several languages and without any barrier, time or place restrictions.

The external provider of our Trust Line can provide essential and relevant certifications to ensure high information security and data protection standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, ISAE 3000).

Neither the operator of the software nor unauthorised third parties have access to the submitted reports and the associated data, which are stored in encrypted form on a server in Germany. Only the responsible clerks have access to the reports submitted and assigned to them. They process every report confidentially, quickly and conscientiously.
